Pharmacist at Indus Hospital & Health Network

We have an immediate opening for the post of Pharmacist.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience
  • Strong understanding of drug dispensation protocols
  • Inventory management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with pharmacists for proper handover protocols
  • Provide daily reports to Assistant Manager/Manager Pharmacy Services
  • Supervise unit-dose drug dispensation and distribution
  • Review patient profiles and CPOE to prevent drug interactions
  • Promote rational drug use
  • Contact physicians for order inaccuracies or medicine unavailability
  • Ensure accurate requisition issuance and fulfillment
  • Provide prompt delivery of unit-dose medications to nursing units
  • Monitor and manage inventory stock levels
  • Prepare and forward requisitions to the Pharmacy store
  • Receive goods from the Pharmacy store, physically check, and shelve stock
  • Provide current and accurate drug information to healthcare professionals
  • Maintain records of drug information provided
  • Prepare monthly reports on stock status (fast moving, slow moving, expiry, etc.)
  • Arrange monthly inspections of nursing units and clinics
  • Monitor proper storage and distribution of patient floor stock, controlled drugs, and emergency medications
  • Provide technical and administrative support for staff
  • Conduct relevant trainings for staff
  • Ensure high alert medications are labeled correctly
  • Provide necessary precautions and information for proper administration of medications
  • Prepare and present on various topics for CMEs
  • Document and provide management with details of interventions and drug information
  • Ensure temperature monitoring and accurate documentation maintenance
  • Provide management with regular updates and monthly KPI reports
  • Perform all related tasks assigned by Manager/Assistant Manager Pharmacy Services
