Skills

  • Ensure proper handover protocols are followed and provide daily reports to the Assistant Manager/Manager Pharmacy Services
  • Cross verify the medicines issued/consumption and co-relate with clinical data
  • Develop pharmacovigilance system
  • Ensure accurate dispensing of medicines, review CPOE to prevent drug interactions, and counsel patients properly
  • Promote rational drug use
  • Contact physicians for unavailable medicines and provide information on relevant alternatives
  • Ensure requisitions are issued accurately
  • Monitor and manage inventory stock levels and prepare and forward demand to the Pharmacy Manager as required
  • Receive goods, physically check, and shelve stock in the correct location at the specified temperature
  • Provide current and accurate drug information to healthcare professionals when required
  • Maintain records of drug information provided in accordance with specified record-keeping protocols
  • Provide monthly reports to the Assistant/Manager Pharmacy detailing stock, including fast-moving, slow-moving, short expiry, expired, broken, and damaged items
  • Ensure high-alert medications are labeled and provide all relevant precautions and information for proper administration
  • Document and provide the Assistant Manager/Manager with details of all interventions, drug information, and related relevant information
  • Ensure proper monitoring of temperatures and maintain accurate documentation
  • Provide management with regular updates and monthly KPI reports
