Skills

• Maintaining assigned locations in a clean and comfortable condition
• Performing daily cleaning, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming
• Cleaning patient units for turnovers
• Assisting with trash removal
• Transporting patients for medical tests and between areas
• Ensuring hospital equipment and patient beds are clean
• Bringing departmental supplies
• Preparing soiled laundry for washing
• Maintaining polite and non-aggressive behavior towards patients and families

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the entire assigned location in an appropriate and comfortable condition in accordance with supervisor directives
• Complete clean turnovers/make-readies of vacant patient units as directed
• Perform daily cleaning, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and equipment cleaning at assigned areas
• Maintain polite, non-aggressive, moral behavior/attitude with patients and their families
• Assist in trash picking at the assigned area
• Assist transporting patients for x-rays, lab tests, and between areas as directed by the supervisor
• Ensure ward equipment, patient beds, and hospital windows are properly cleaned and dusted in the assigned area
• Bring departmental GS or pharmacy supplies as directed by the area supervisor
• Remove and prepare soiled laundry from the floors for washing
