Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the functional reporting of department heads within nursing services
- Standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational manuals, including activity sheets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Provide comprehensive operational oversight for nursing services, translating policies and procedures into actionable goals and program plans
- Evaluate nursing activities and resource allocation through detailed analysis of operations, decisions, and interdepartmental relations
- Coordinate and direct the daily activities of the network to ensure optimal patient care aligned with organizational objectives
- Ensure strict adherence to clinical patient care standards and established hospital policies and procedures
- Develop and recommend fiscal planning strategies and budgetary controls
- Collaborate with senior management to determine fiscal requirements for assigned units and prepare budgetary recommendations
- Monitor the level of resources utilized in service delivery and assess the appropriateness of resource consumption
- Ensure all patient care documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with hospital and unit policies
- Develop and implement a robust Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) system across the network and review performance appraisals of Departmental Heads
- Foster a culture of exemplary customer service throughout the organization, promoting effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Support the activities of nursing units to ensure efficient operations through regular engagement with nursing staff
- Maintain detailed knowledge of each unit's status, including patient acuity, staff coordination, and progress towards unit goals
- Plan, schedule, and organize work for teams, ensuring proper delegation, efficient utilization of personnel, space, and facilities
- Provide functional guidance and support during the annual budgeting process
- Coordinate activities with other departments by actively participating in meetings, task forces, committees, and special projects
- Collaborate in the development, implementation, and expansion of learning opportunities and skill development programs for all staff
- Promote educational and training programs for nursing staff to maintain current competence and enhance knowledge of new developments in patient care
- Lead and manage all Human Resources activities for the department, including hiring, allocation, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and terminations
- Manage various personnel actions such as hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions, and scheduling, and conduct formal disciplinary actions when necessary
- Actively participate in the selection process for Departmental Heads across all campuses
- Develop and monitor an internal feedback and complaint mechanism to assess compliance with quality standards and implement improvements focused on patient care and comfort
- Provide mentoring and guidance to Heads of Department at all campuses, particularly during campus expansions
- Participate in the planning, directing, monitoring, and evaluation of staff performance and patient care outcomes
- Review internal, external, and government audit reports and ensure timely and appropriate responses
- Conduct monthly documented Skype meetings with the Head of their respective function at every campus to ensure proactive management and alignment
