Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in clinical rounds with Consultants and coordinate with floor Doctors and Staff
• Supervise and assist in patient Pharmacy Services inventory management
• Review, monitor, and control drug profiles and CPOE for all admitted patients
• Contact physicians regarding order inaccuracies or medicine unavailability
• Participate in Antibiotic stewardship rounds to enhance patient care
• Monitor high alert medication dispensation and provide administration precautions
• Document all interventions on the system and present daily issues to the Manager
• Compile and prepare monthly presentations on effective interventions
• Assist in developing and implementing the hospital formulary
• Develop strong communication between Pharmacies and floor staff
• Identify and correct HMIS related problems and provide summary reports
• Review and monitor stock of all crash trolley medicines and present monthly reports
• Provide current and accurate drug information to healthcare professionals
• Record drug information data and prepare graphical reports
• Provide technical and administrative support to Pharmacists and Technicians
• Train interns and paramedical staff
• Counsel Doctors, staff, patients, and families on safe drug use
• Arrange CME programs regarding rational drug use
• Monitor and record all non-formulary drugs arranged for inpatients
• Perform all related tasks assigned by Manager Pharmacy/Assistant Manager Pharmacy
