Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report on time as per the assigned shift schedule, and confirm area assignments
• Conduct physical checks of all unit inventory, mark in checklists, and report discrepancies to the supervisor
• Manage timely bed-to-bed handover, including patient details, medication, and reports
• Discuss and document pending tasks for the incoming shift in patient records
• Document significant interventions or concerns in HMIS and ensure prompt follow-up
• Assess patients' care needs, perform pain assessments, and provide education on prevention
• Evaluate patient conditions after each intervention, considering effectiveness of care and medication
• Involve multidisciplinary teams as needed for consultations
• Record general consumption of patients' supplies and medication
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, complying with housekeeping and safety guidelines
• Adhere to infection-control practices during medication administration
• Maintain patient privacy during all procedures and care
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records
• Accompany physicians during rounds and note orders for the HMIS
• Assist doctors with procedures and prepare patients accordingly
• Prepare patients for surgery or procedures as per pre-op orders
• Follow post-op orders and monitor vital signs and surgical sites
• Report incidents in a timely manner, including near misses
