Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handover and take over shift/ward information related to patients
• Provide direct patient care throughout the shift
• Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards
• Resolve patient problems and needs
• Prepare medication requisitions and administer medication
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies
• Facilitate doctors/consultants on their rounds
• Assist doctors with any procedure they may need to perform
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation
• Carry out doctors’ orders and address any concerns
• Ensure proper stocking of medical supplies
• Check and record blood sugar and vital signs
• Perform IV cannulation of patients
• Report incidents in a timely manner
• Supervise Nurse Aids and Student Nurses
• Perform delegated tasks as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned
