Key Requirements:

• Qualification: BS
• Experience: 12 months minimum

Skills

• Proficiency in daily heat block QA
• Expertise in operating and maintaining Serofuge, cell washer, cytotherm, and water bath
• Skilled in conducting daily serology reagent quality control
• Ability to perform blood grouping and Rh testing
• Competency in Cross Matching, Weak D testing, and DAT-testing
• Familiarity with Red Cell Allo Antibody Screening and Identification
• Knowledge of Red Cell Antigen pheno typing
• Capacity to resolve ABO Discrepancies through various techniques
• Proficiency in preparing Alsever’s Solution and Reagent Cells
• Ability to calibrate Cell Washers and serofuge
• Capability to work up and report difficult serology cases

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performing all tasks and responsibilities of a technician
• Managing and maintaining daily operational tasks
• Calibrating equipment such as cell washers and serofuges
• Performing specialized testing such as cross-matching and antibody screening
• Conducting research and reporting on difficult serology cases
• Completing any additional tasks mandated by supervisors or the department head
