Skills

• Analyze laboratory findings and conduct chemical analysis of body fluids
• Ensure accuracy of results and inform clinicians of abnormal findings
• Operate and calibrate Biochemistry Lab instruments
• Run daily quality controls and review LJ plots
• Perform EQA and interpretation
• Follow infection control and ISO guidelines
• Issue reports and reject tests or samples as per SOPs
• Maintain laboratory data and documentation accurately
• Manage stock of kits and consumables
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly analyzer maintenance
• Track daily consumption of inventory

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids including blood, urine, and CSF
• Verify the accuracy of laboratory results
• Communicate critical abnormal results to relevant clinicians
• Ensure proper storage of abnormal samples
• Calibrate and operate all Biochemistry Lab instruments
• Execute daily quality controls and review control charts
• Participate in External Quality Assurance (EQA) programs
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ISO standards
• Generate and issue laboratory reports
• Reject tests or samples according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Repeat tests when necessary
• Maintain accurate laboratory data and documentation
• Manage inventory of laboratory kits and consumables
• Perform routine analyzer maintenance as per established procedures
• Monitor and track daily inventory consumption
