Vaccinator at Indus Hospital & Health Network

We have an immediate opening for the post of Vaccinator. The job location is Jhal Magsi.

Skills

  • Safely provide immunization to infants, children, and adults according to formal protocols and schedule
  • Ensure availability of adequate vaccine quantities through record keeping and timely request submission
  • Maintain the cold chain for all vaccines
  • Monitor vaccine quantity and expiry dates
  • Inform Supervisor to reorder vaccine supplies at least 02 weeks in advance
  • Prepare microplans in coordination with District EPI and District Coordinator
  • Responsible for pick and drop of vaccines from and to designated health facilities daily
  • Provide EPI services through outreach camps
  • Ensure correct use and care of all electronic equipment (Android phone, laptop, tabs) and medical supplies
  • Administer correct vaccines with correct dosage to children according to EPI protocols
  • Follow strict infection control measures and ensure team adherence
  • Maintain a stock register of vaccines and ensure daily and permanent EPI program registers are maintained properly
  • Collect program data on given templates
  • Make phone calls to children’s parents/caregivers for follow-up visits
  • Troubleshoot and support all areas of programmatic work as required
  • Perform any other task requested by the supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely administer immunizations to diverse age groups following established protocols
  • Manage vaccine inventory, ensuring proper storage and timely reordering to prevent stockouts
  • Maintain the integrity of the vaccine cold chain throughout the supply and administration process
  • Collaborate with district health officials to develop and implement microplans for immunization campaigns
  • Facilitate vaccine transportation to and from health facilities and outreach sites
  • Conduct outreach immunization camps to extend healthcare services to underserved areas
  • Utilize electronic devices and medical supplies responsibly for program activities
  • Adhere to strict infection control standards to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vaccine stock and patient data
  • Engage with parents and caregivers for follow-up appointments and health education
  • Provide support for various programmatic tasks as directed by supervisors
