• Skill in shaping and cooking various flatbreads (naan, chapatis, parathas, puri)
• Ability to cook on a tawa (griddle) or tandoor (clay oven)
• Attention to quality standards for cooked rotis
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic cooking area
• Awareness of health and safety guidelines
• Ability to monitor ingredient stock and report low supplies
• Willingness to assist other kitchen staff

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive flour from stores and prepare high-quality dough using appropriate ingredients
• Examine the quality of flour and reject if found substandard
• Shape and cook various types of flatbreads, including naan, chapatis, parathas, and puri on a tawa or tandoor
• Ensure cooked rotis are soft, fluffy, perfectly cooked, and meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean and hygienic cooking area, utensils, and equipment in accordance with health and safety guidelines
• Monitor stock of essential ingredients for roti preparation and inform supervisor when supplies are low
• Assist other kitchen staff with meal preparation and other duties as needed
• Support security protocols and ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and secure
• Maintain service excellence standards
• Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor
