Duties and Responsibilities:

• Move patients between wards, departments, and treatment areas using wheelchairs or beds and assist them with mobility challenges
• Transport linen, waste, essential items and documents to the correct locations in good condition
• Handle and dispose of clinical and general waste, adhering to safety protocols and infection control guidelines
• Transport samples (Blood/urine) to laboratory after informing area in-charge following SOPs
• Follow personal hygiene protocols
• Ensure cleanliness of the workplace, including dusting of beds, mattresses, tables, trays, wardrobes, sofas, and other surfaces
• Respond promptly to emergency requests
• Sort and hand out linen, helping nurses with the removal of unclean linen and bed sheets if needed
• Handover tasks properly to the next shift during shift changes
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
