The selected candidate will be offered a contract appointment for an initial period of two years, further extendable based on mutual consent. Skills
- LLB or LLM from a reputable institution recognized by HEC or foreign qualification in Law
- Minimum professional experience of 15 years in a reputable law firm/company
- Experience in company or law firm corporate law, public procurement laws, tax laws, civil laws, commercial disputes and service matters
- Experience of industrial relations, trade unions, trans province matters
- Knowledge of Shipping Laws, admiralty jurisdiction, Merchant Shipping Laws, MLC-2006, SOLAS, STCW, Law of sea, Arbitration, legislation in shipping laws, ship arrest and sale/purchase
- Knowledge of handling legal matters of shipping office, MMD, Ministry of Maritime Affairs
- Experience to handle non-budgetary special regime of employment, SOE Act requirements, its implications, listed companies experience and / or SECP compliances of holding and subsidiary company
- Handling desertion cases, arbitration regarding Afloat disputes out of CP, COA and Bunkering, ship arrest cases and handling of corporate matters before different foras

- Provide legal counsel and advisory services
- Manage corporate legal affairs
- Handle litigation and dispute resolution
- Ensure compliance with maritime laws and regulations
- Draft and review legal documents and contracts
- Advise on employment law and industrial relations
