Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in OPD, IPD, ER, or specialty units
• Propose diagnoses based on patient history, examination, and diagnostic data
• Develop and implement treatment plans under Consultant supervision
• Perform clinical procedures within the scope of training and granted credentialing
• Participate in ward rounds and case discussions, ensuring accurate patient documentation
• Respond to medical emergencies and code blue situations, escalating complex cases appropriately
• Provide on-call coverage as per the duty roster
• Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals when necessary
• Coordinate with nursing and allied health teams for seamless patient care and continuity of treatment
• Counsel patients and their families, obtaining informed consent for treatments
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatments as their conditions evolve
• Ensure appropriate time and resources are allocated for all patient care processes
• Provide clinical guidance and ensure adherence to hospital clinical guidelines and SOPs
• Participate in clinical audits and morbidity/mortality meetings
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards diligently
• Engage with other teams to facilitate high-quality care and enhance patient experience
• Ensure all patient care complies with IHHN, provincial, and national regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and attendants verbally and in writing
• Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
• Respect the dignity, cultural, religious, and social sensitivities of patients
• Participate in CME, research initiatives, and case presentations for workplace capacity building
• Maintain essential certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, ATLS)
• Strive for continuous professional growth and development
• Perform any other assigned task by the Head of Department commensurate with knowledge and skills
• Maintain IT systems as required by Indus Hospital
