Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care, routine and emergency, during duty hours
- Evaluate patients, taking complete history and performing physical examinations
- Conduct daily ward rounds
- Record patient progress in HMIS
- Seek advice from senior team members
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care
- Manage laboring patients and perform vaginal deliveries
- Assess and manage patients in the ER
- Administer certain medical procedures as advised by Consultants
- Liaise with nursing staff regarding patient progress
- Discuss medications on discharge and write a discharge summary
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide medical attention to staff and visitors
- Comply with hospital policies and procedures
