- Skill in uploading, editing, and managing reports in LIS/HMIS
- Understanding of document version control and indexing
- Knowledge of laboratory accreditation requirements (e.g., ISO 15189)

- Effective coordination with pathologists and laboratory staff
- Ability to monitor KPIs and implement improvement measures
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transcribe laboratory dictations, pathology reports, histopathology findings, microbiology reports, and diagnostic summaries accurately
- Edit and proofread all transcribed reports for accuracy, grammar, and correct medical terminology
- Ensure all reports adhere to approved laboratory formats and templates
- Complete transcriptions within defined turnaround times (TAT)
- Verify the correct use of laboratory terminology, units, reference ranges, and abbreviations
- Confirm the accuracy of patient identifiers, dates, and physician details
- Identify and flag discrepancies, unclear dictations, or missing information for clarification
- Upload, edit, and manage reports within the Laboratory Information System (LIS) or Hospital Management Information System (HMIS)
- Maintain document version control and proper indexing for all transcribed files
- Support laboratory accreditation and audit documentation requirements
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality in accordance with hospital policy and data protection regulations
- Coordinate with pathologists, laboratory consultants, and technologists for timely report finalization
- Assist with audits, quality reviews, and accreditation requirements related to medical documentation
- Maintain appropriate records and statistics, monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and implement measures for improvement
- Perform any other assigned tasks commensurate with knowledge and skills
