Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine microbiological processing, parasitological and serological analysis
• Conduct antibiotic susceptibility testing and advanced reporting of routine cultures
• Execute daily QC/EQA and perform mycology techniques, staining, and microscopy interpretation
• Identify yeast, perform water cultures, and conduct API/E strips and Vitek 2 ID/MIC testing
• Communicate abnormal findings to consultants and preserve samples as required
• Train and support juniors and trainees in laboratory procedures
• Monitor daily inventory consumption and maintain stock and indents
• Support internal and external audits (ISO, SHC, QA, QIPS, Finance)
• Maintain and analyze departmental data
• Perform routine analyzer maintenance and maintain weekly logs
• Coordinate with biomedical engineers/suppliers for troubleshooting
• Support laboratory operational efficiency
