Skills

• Coordinate with Pharmacists and Technicians to ensure adequate maintenance of Pharmacy inventory and adherence to protocols
• Accurately fill patient requisitions per issued prescriptions and patient drug profiles
• Ensure medications are packaged, labelled, and delivered promptly
• Maintain, monitor, and replenish inventory stock
• Compound sterile parenteral admixtures, TPN, and chemotherapy agents
• Perform sterile compounding using aseptic technique
• Maintain all pharmacy related documentation
• Maintain comprehensive inventory records
• Complete Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and stock cover documentation

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Pharmacists and Technicians to ensure adequate maintenance of Pharmacy inventory
• Ensure adherence to protocols during shift changes, under Shift In-Charge Pharmacist supervision
• Maintain records and documentation
• Accurately fill patient requisitions based on prescriptions and patient profiles, under Pharmacist supervision
• Ensure prompt packaging, labeling, and delivery of medications to care areas
• Manage and replenish inventory stock, preparing requisitions
• Maintain records of consignment items (Cath Lab/Radiology)
• Document consumption of procedural items
• Accurately fill prescriptions, restock IV area supplies shift-wise, and maintain IVPB inventory
• Compound sterile admixtures, TPN, and chemotherapy agents
• Assist Pharmacists in selecting, filling, assembling, packaging, and labeling medications
• Safely handle, compound, and distribute medications to patient care areas
• Perform sterile compounding using aseptic technique to meet standards
• Follow USP standards
• Obtain Pharmacist verification before releasing admixtures
• Maintain temperature/humidity logs, cleaning logs, and related documentation
• Operate, monitor, clean, and maintain equipment
• Perform routine QA checks
• Assist Pharmacists with operational support and waste disposal
• Train new staff and participate in performance improvement initiatives
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment (BSC)
• Assist Pharmacists with IV chemotherapy preparation/handling and recordkeeping
• Verify patient information before chemotherapy preparation
• Calculate dosages, volumes, and fluids for antineoplastic agents
• Prepare cytotoxic agents using aseptic/protective procedures
• Ensure hazardous waste disposal compliance
• Obtain double-check for product integrity, preparation, and labelling
• Prepare/submit departmental requisitions to warehouse
• Receive warehouse goods, verify batch, expiry, quantity, and shelving
• Implement FEFO stock rotation and ensure proper storage
• Ensure proper storage of specific drugs
• Follow Pharmacist's instructions and SOPs/Protocols of Out Parietin Pharmacy
• The task assigned by ER Pharmacist, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, and to follow the ER Pharmacy SOPs
• Follow the in-Patient Pharmacy
