- Liaise with the Rehab team regarding patient
- Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions for orthotic or prosthetic devices

- Provide advice, training and assist the P/O Technician in relation to the operation and safety aspects of equipment and appliances
- Supervise medical support personnel
- Guide patient and attendant regarding use of appliance, hygiene of body and appliance where required

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Rehabilitation Services to orthopedically and neurologically impaired patients under the guidance of the Supervisor Rehab /Senior Ortho-Prosthetist/CentreManager, where required
- Liaise with the Rehab team regarding patient (diagnosis, prescription, designing and other problems relevant to the patient) where required
- Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions for orthotic or prosthetic devices
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment
- Examination, prescription, designing and selection of proper components for the patient
- To take all casts and measurement required for proper fabrication and fitting
- Modification and alignment
- Ensure proper fitting and delivery of appliances in time (minimum possible time)
- Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients with in gait training areas, and make adjustments for proper fit, function, and comfort
- Adjust prostheses or other assistive devices in assembling hall
- Provide advice, training and assist the P/O Technician in relation to the operation and safety aspects of equipment and appliances
- Supervise medical support personnel
- Maintain appropriate knowledge of rehabilitation practices, measurement and fitting techniques relevant to provision of orthotic and prosthetic appliances
- Ensure delivery of services within the set timeframe at an acceptable quality in accordance with priorities developed in liaison with the Supervisor Rehab/Senior Prosthetist Orthotist /Centre Manager
- Maintain standard quality of appliance as per guidelines of WHO and ICRC
- Guide patient and attendant regarding use of appliance, hygiene of body and appliance where required
- Identify physical and other relevant characteristics of the patient
- Provide the Supervisor Rehab/Senior Prosthetist Orthotist /Centre Manager and colleagues with information and the access necessary for maintaining reliable and timely communication regarding patients, while working in the department
- Update daily patient records (In HMIS System) pertaining changes in gait training, component issuance etc
- Keeps standard ratio of production of devices per month (22-25 devices/month) including major & minor cases
- Keep maintaining the flow of patients in gyms along with Physiotherapists
- Ensure proper use of machinery, equipment and tools and should be aware of alternate ways in case of any breakdown of equipments to manage the ongoing work
- Ensure economical use of materials with minimum wastage of materials
- Follow and implement proper procedures, such as wearing goggles, gloves and masks to avoid any health and safety hazard while handling certain materials
- Any other task assigned by the HOD/ Supervisor Rehab/Senior Prosthetist Orthotist /Centre Manager
