Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and programmatic oversight for all behavior change communication activities
- Plan, implement, monitor, and report on BCC work plan activities guided by the District Coordinator
- Develop BCC messages and materials
- Conduct training and capacity building for local staff and counterparts
- Oversee BCC activities by local staff and international consultants
- Manage all advocacy and BCC activities at district and community levels in collaboration with the District Coordinator
- Compile BCC records and update databases
- Assist in LLIN distribution at community/ANC levels
- Assist the District Coordinator in planning advocacy events at district and community levels
- Conduct advocacy and BCC activities in line with monthly and quarterly workplans
- Provide BCC-related logistical support to all community-based centers
- Collect and computerize BCC data
- Carry out field visits to support BCC and advocacy activities at facility and community levels
- Provide regular feedback on advocacy/BCC events to the District Coordinator
- Ensure that all BCC records are entered into LHWs/LHS diaries and authenticity of CBO/LHW documents is maintained
- Assist in other administrative and logistics-related functions as needed
- Maintain records of all activities at the district office
- Provide support in all activities, including data entry, as assigned by the District Coordinator
- Carry out regular field visits to support and monitor BCC in all target districts
- Provide regular feedback on project activities to the District Coordinator
- Review behavior change communication and community engagement strategies, knowledge base, information, education, and communication (IEC) materials, practices, and gaps in BCC for program and elimination in the region
- Provide expertise in social science methods for monitoring and evaluation of BCC, community mobilization, and advocacy, including specific components working with mobile populations and high-risk populations
- Undertake any other task assigned by the Line Manager
