Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report on duty punctually as per schedule and confirm assigned areas
• Conduct physical checks of unit inventory and report deficiencies
• Ensure timely bed-to-bed handover from outgoing to incoming shift staff
• Document patient care, interventions, and concerns accurately in HMIS
• Assess patients for required care, pain, risks, and provide education
• Evaluate patient condition after interventions and review care plans
• Involve multidisciplinary teams for specialized consultations
• Manage general consumption of supplies and medications, verifying requisitions
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Adhere to infection control and medication administration protocols
• Protect patient privacy during care, examination, and transportation
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records
• Accompany physicians during rounds and document orders
• Assist doctors with procedures, preparing patients and ensuring necessary supplies
• Prepare patients for surgery per pre-op orders and complete checklists
• Follow post-operative orders and monitor patient vital signs and surgical sites
• Report incidents or near misses promptly
• Guide LPN, RM, Nurse Aids, and students in assigned areas
• Perform any other assigned tasks commensurate with knowledge and skills
