Skills

• Ph.D./M.Phil.
• Or Master's degree in Climate Change, Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Economics & Policy, Climate Finance, or any other relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized national or internationally reputed university
• At least seven (07) years of professional experience for candidates with a Ph.D.
• And nine (09) years for candidates with a Master's degree in the relevant field, including a minimum of three (03) years in senior management positions
• Comprehensive understanding of national and international climate change scenarios
• Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in multidisciplinary policy and strategy formulation, national planning in environmental management, and mainstreaming climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives, including livelihood improvement, biodiversity conservation, and natural resource management in developing countries
• Proven leadership potential and expertise in areas such as climate modelling, financial modelling, policy analysis (qualitative and quantitative), MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification), data systems/sciences, and outcomes analysis
• Strong understanding of linkages between environment, energy, climate change, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), macroeconomic policies, poverty reduction, and sustainable development
• Extensive conceptual and practical knowledge of the operational and strategic frameworks of international donors and UN agencies
• Experience in working with and coordinating among stakeholders, including governments, international donors, NGOs, and civil society organizations
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and prepare analytical and technical reports
• Experience in drafting climate change-related legislation and legal documents

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Technical Advisor (MP-I) within the Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination
• Contribute to policy formulation, strategic planning, and climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives
• Provide expertise in climate modelling, financial modelling, and policy analysis
• Analyze data and prepare technical reports related to environmental and climate change issues
• Draft climate change-related legislation and legal documents
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government bodies, international organizations, and NGOs
