Vaccinator at Indus Hospital & Health Network

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely provide immunization to infants, children, and adults according to formal protocols and schedule
  • Ensure the availability of adequate quantities of vaccines through record keeping and timely submission of requests
  • Maintain the cold chain for the vaccines
  • Monitor the quantity and expiry dates of all vaccines
  • Inform the Supervisor to reorder vaccine supplies at least 02 weeks in advance
  • Prepare microplans in coordination with District EPI and District Coordinator
  • Responsible for the pick and drop of vaccines from and to the designated health facilities on a daily basis
  • Provide EPI services through outreach camps
  • Ensure the correct use and care of all electronic equipment (Android phone, laptop, tabs) and medical supplies used by the team in the program
  • Administer the correct vaccines with the correct dosage to children according to EPI protocols
  • Follow strict infection control measures and ensure they are followed by the vaccination program team
  • Maintain a stock register of vaccines and ensure daily and permanent registers of the EPI program are maintained properly
  • Collect program data on given templates
  • Make phone calls to children’s parents/caregivers for follow-up visits
  • Troubleshoot and support all areas of programmatic work as required
  • Undertake any other task requested by the supervisor
