Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely provide immunization to infants, children, and adults
  • Ensure the availability of vaccines through record-keeping and timely requests
  • Maintain the cold chain for vaccines
  • Monitor the quantity and expiry dates of all vaccines
  • Inform the Supervisor to reorder vaccine supplies at least 02 weeks in advance
  • Prepare microplans in coordination with District EPI and District Coordinator
  • Pick up and drop off vaccines to designated health facilities
  • Provide EPI services through outreach camps
  • Ensure the correct use and care of all electronic equipment and medical supplies used in the program
  • Administer the correct vaccines with the correct dosage
  • Follow strict infection control measures
  • Maintain a stock register of vaccines and ensure the daily/permanent registers of the EPI programme are maintained properly
  • Collect program data on given templates
  • Make follow-up calls to children’s parents/caregivers
  • Troubleshoot and support all areas of programmatic work as required
