Skills

  • Analyze laboratory findings, including hematological analysis of blood and body fluids (CSF and special hematology tests)
  • Calibrate and operate all instruments in the Hematology Lab
  • Run quality controls on a daily basis, review LJ plots, run EQA, and interpret results
  • Inform all abnormal results to the concerned doctor/consultant/staff and ensure proper storage of such samples
  • Issue reports, reject or repeat tests as required based on SOPs
  • Perform daily consumption of inventory and maintain stock of kits, consumables, and data
  • Conduct weekly/monthly maintenance of analyzers and coordinate with suppliers’ Biomedical Engineers in case of errors

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive hematological analysis of blood and body fluids
  • Ensure accurate calibration and operation of all hematology laboratory instruments
  • Execute daily quality control procedures and interpret results effectively
  • Communicate critical abnormal findings to medical staff promptly
  • Manage laboratory inventory and maintain adequate stock levels
  • Conduct routine maintenance of laboratory analyzers
  • Collaborate with biomedical engineers for instrument troubleshooting and repair
