Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform clinical procedures within the scope of training and granted credentialing
- Participate in ward rounds and case discussions, ensuring accurate patient documentation
- Respond to medical emergencies and code blue situations, escalating complex cases appropriately
- Provide on-call coverage as per the duty roster
- Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals when necessary
- Coordinate with nursing and allied health teams for seamless patient care and continuity of treatment
- Counsel patients and their families, obtaining informed consent for treatments
- Monitor patient progress and adapt treatments as their conditions evolve
- Ensure appropriate time and resources are allocated for all patient care processes
- Provide clinical guidance and ensure adherence to hospital clinical guidelines and SOPs
- Participate in clinical audits and morbidity/mortality meetings
- Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards diligently
- Engage with other teams to facilitate high-quality care and enhance patient experience
- Ensure all patient care complies with IHHN, provincial, and national regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and attendants verbally and in writing
