• Manage pregnancy and childbirth complications in line with basic emergency obstetric care principles
• Deliver primary care services to women of reproductive age
• Provide essential newborn care, conduct well-baby clinic visits, and perform neonatal resuscitation as needed
• Administer trained interventions including IMCI and vaccinations, and perform circumcisions
• Counsel and educate women, their families, and the community on relevant health matters, including preparation for parenthood and childbirth
• Offer all non-surgical family planning methods and provide counseling for surgical methods
• Obtain specialized assistance or referrals when necessary, and follow up on all provided referrals
• Share knowledge, skills, and expertise with midwifery, medical, and nursing students, as well as nursing and resident staff in pregnancy and childbirth management
• Perform administrative tasks such as patient charting, recording, and reporting data
• Manage clinic or facility operations as required, and coordinate specific educational or outreach programs
