- Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in multidisciplinary policy and strategy formulation, national planning in environmental management, and mainstreaming climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives
- Proven leadership potential and expertise in areas such as climate modelling, financial modelling, policy analysis (qualitative and quantitative), MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification), data systems/sciences, and outcomes analysis
- Strong understanding of linkages between environment, energy, climate change, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), macroeconomic policies, poverty reduction, and sustainable development
- Extensive conceptual and practical knowledge of the operational and strategic frameworks of international donors and UN agencies
- Experience in working with and coordinating among stakeholders, including governments, international donors, NGOs, and civil society organizations
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and prepare analytical and technical reports
- Experience in drafting climate change-related legislation and legal documents
